oracle - OBIEE 12.2.1.2 Can not delete catalog folder? Error: Shortcut expected -


i want delete old_folder shared catalog folders, however, following error message displayed: shortcut expected /shared/old_folder/...

the same message appears in catalog manager. deleting single objects (analyses, prompts, ...) works fine: folders , subfolders within given folder can not deleted.

concerning permissions: have full control of folder/objects.

ideas , suggestions appreciated!

explanation: means .atr (attribute files) accompany presentation catalog folder or file on file system - i.e. phyiscally on disk.

note: isn't lightly.

a) never touch file / folder without taking care of accompanying .atr file

b) , vice versa. can't delete .atr files without deleting parent object - folder or file.
