python - statsmodels - Builtin probability distributions -

we can plot common probability distributions using scipy module. however, possible same task using statsmodels library?

for example - scipy has inbuilt functions binomial distribution, uniform distribution , normal distribution.

similarly, there built in alternative achieve same using statsmodels?

statsmodels not trying duplicate scipy.stats (*). there no equivalent scipy.stats.distributions.

the emphasis in statsmodels in regression models different distributions. there overlap in statsmodels uses normal distribution, discrete distributions binomial, poisson , negativebinomial or distribution families generalized linear models.

there few cases statmodels supports distribution functionality not available in scipy.

(*) there overlap , duplication between statsmodels , scipy.stats in of basic statistics , hypothesis tests t-tests different options , extensions in cases.
