java - Can JavaFX properties be made to "fire" -


the classic bill example illustrates how use javafx properties in not-gui setting. noted in documentation, notification occurs when value changes. thus, using example, code such this:

    electricbill.setamountdue(100.00);     electricbill.setamountdue(100.00);     electricbill.setamountdue(100.00);

results in 1 , 1 notification. idea of properties , idea of bindings; however, functionality need able control notification if value doesn't change there notification listeners.

question: 1) can achieved within javafx properties architecture? if so, how? 2) if not, there alternative property api's permit finer level of control?

this may related these this , this. doesn't can directly cause firing of event have go through java bean architecture well.
