performance - What is the quantifiable benefit of 64 bit for Visual Studio Code over 32 bit -


i'm not hardware guy, know visual studio in 64 bit version issue request declined microsoft stating 64 bit version not have performance.

two noticeable differences between 2 feel obvious code base. 1 began it's life in 1997, 1 think means more baggage on visual studio side, less opportunities have modern application architecture , code , may make harder , possibly stuff may built perform on 32 bit , reason not suitable 64 bit? don't know.

visual studio code on other hand modern electron app means pretty compiled html. css , javascript. i'm betting making version of visual studio code has little in way of obstructions , although performance may not noticeable, why not?

i still understand areas may improved in performance , if improvement negligible developer. additional info or fun facts may know great have info possible , update question hard facts uncover not mentioned.
